Food boxes are set for distribution. The Food Bank of Delaware in Milford hosted groups of volunteers Jan. 19, as part of a day of service for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The volunteers packed meal kits as part of the food bank’s weekend meal program for kids, also known as the Backpack Program. More than 8,000 children throughout Delaware will receive one of the meal kits, which will be distributed in more than 200 schools, childcares and daycares each week.
